Golf Outing and Auction

Mark your calendar now for the 6th Annual Nakon Foundation Golf Outing Monday August 4, 2008 At Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio

This annual golf outing and silent auction is the Foundation's largest fundraiser and has raised over $230,000 net in five years to support our mission of direct aid to women and their families battling the financial impacts of breast cancer.

Last year, a hot and sunny Monday brought 210 golfers together at Red Tail Golf Club for some challenging golf, great entertainment and a good cause. Hole-in-One Contests, a Million Dollar Shoot Out and an incredible silent auction rounded out a day that raised $46,500

Turkey Dash

The Turkey Dash, a 5k run/walk is held each year on Thanksgiving morning. This family friendly event is a great way to show your gratitude for your own health, support a great cause, and work up an appetite for your own Thanksgiving feast.

This year's weather was a typical Northeast Ohio mix of rain and snow that didn't stop our runners or their enthusiasm. Our 2007 race was a record breaking year with over 720 runners and $27,000 raised for the Foundation. Racers enjoyed pumpkin pie, hot cocoa and coffee along with fruit at the end of the race. Monica Robins of WKYC - Channel 3 awarded our top 3 finishers in the overall male, female and under 12 categories along with a number of family friendly awards for the youngest and oldest participants, the one that traveled the farthest and the family with the most participants.
