The Turkey Dash, a 5k run/walk is held each year on Thanksgiving morning. This family friendly event is a great way to show your gratitude for your own health, support a great cause, and work up an appetite for your own Thanksgiving feast.
Thanksging 2009 turned out to be a picture perfect race day. Held at the Avon High School and winding through the Highland Subdivision of Avon, over 1400 runners and 250 spectators set a new record for the Turkey Dash. Over $20,000 was raised for the Foundation. Racers, their families, and friends enjoyed pumpkin pie, hot cocoa and coffee along with fruit and water at the end of the race. Turkey Dash Medals were awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group. Sharon Lerch, our Race Co-Chair recognized our top male and female finishers and thanked the crowd and the committee for another fabulous race.

Golf Outing and Auction
Mark your calendars now for the 8th Annual Nakon Foundation Golf Outing Monday August 2, 2010 At Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio
This annual golf outing and silent auction is the Foundation's largest fundraiser and has raised over $270,000 net in six years to support our mission of direct aid to women and their families battling the financial impacts of breast cancer.
Last year, a hot and sunny Monday brought 140 golfers together at Red Tail Golf Club for some challenging golf, great entertainment and a good cause. Hole-in-One Contests, and an incredible silent auction rounded out a day that raised $25,000

Patrick Keaton won a trip to Atlantic City with a spectacular hole-in-one on the 8th hole at our 2006 outing.
The Turkey Dash has raised over $76,000 since 2004.
