The Turkey Dash, a 5k run/walk is held each year on Thanksgiving morning at the Avon High School in Avon, Ohio. This family friendly event is a great way to show your gratitude for your own health, support a great cause, and work up an appetite for your own Thanksgiving feast.

Funds raised from the annual Turkey Dash go directly to women and their families in Northeast Ohio who are impacted by the finacial burden of the high cost of breast cancer treatments. Last year, over $20,000 was raised for the Foundation.

The race, held at the Avon High School and winding through the Highland Subdivision of Avon, features over 1400 runners and 250 spectators. Racers, their families, and friends enjoy pumpkin pie, hot cocoa and coffee along with fruit and water at the end of the race. Turkey Dash Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group and the top male and female finishers are recognized.

Turkey Dash medals are awarded to First, Second, and Third place male and female finishers in the following adge divisions: 2-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, ....60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

The Soccer Celebration offers a competitive way to give back to the community. Activities for the day include a 7v7 soccer tournament for adult women (18+) as well as a soccer juggling competition for boys and girls under age 17.

Funds raised from Soccer Celebration are being donated to the Nakon Foundation and will go directly to women and their families in Northeast Ohio who are impacted by the financial burden of the high cost of breast cancer treatments. The goal for this inaugural event is to raise $15,000 for the Foundation.

The tournament features two divisions – competitive and noncompetitive – with a guarantee of at least 3 games for each team. Groups of 10 women may register as a team ($300), but individuals can also register ($40) and will be placed on a team. The winning team from each division will receive an award.

The soccer juggling competition will be split up into age groups: 9 and under, 10-13 and 14-17. Awards will be given to the top boy and girl in each age group. Youth registration ($10).

All participants will receive a t-shirt.

$175.00 per golfer includes: 18 holes of Afternoon Golf & Cart, Driving Range & Putting Green, Lunch, Complimentary On-Course Refreshments, and Dinner in the Clubhouse.

This annual golf outing and raffle is the Foundation's largest fundraiser and has raised over $380,000 net in ten years to support our mission of direct aid to women and their families battling the financial impacts of breast cancer.

Last year's event brought 136 golfers together at Red Tail Golf Club for some challenging golf, great entertainment and a good cause. Hole-in-One Contests and an incredible raffke and 50/50 rounded out a day that raised $30,000

Patrick Keaton won a trip to Atlantic City with a spectacular hole-in-one on the 8th hole at our 2006 outing.
